Hiroshima Day. This year marks the 81st anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima during World War II. The day is commemorated in Peebles by anyone who wishes to be there. There will be a silent vigil at 6pm next to the Peace Tree (Tweed bridge, swimming pool side) followed by the throwing of rose petals into the Tweed.
